The Society of American Archivists (SAA) honored Project STAND and founders Lae’l Hughes-Watkins and Tamar Chute with a 2019 SAA Council Resolution for focusing on the needs and efforts of academic archives in documenting marginalized student activism and advocating for and supporting the work of underrepresented student communities’ engagement in social justice activities on and off campus.
