Wright State has submitted materials from the subject files of 3 university presidents, the University Photograph collection, The Guardian Student Newspaper, and the Student Alternative Newspaper Collection. The latter includes several homegrown newspapers created by student groups during the late 60s and early 70s, largely related to the student group, C.O.D.E. (committee on decisive expression), and other groups promoting alternate student points of view. The presidents’ papers include detailed information regarding student disturbances, the Campus Unrest Committee, campus reactions and response to the Kent State shootings, and negotiations with the Committee for the Advancement of Black Unity (CABU). Of particular note are materials in the Kegerreis Papers regarding bussing/desegregation in Dayton, and disability advocacy materials in the Office of Disability Services Collection, an area of particular distinction at WSU.
