Michelle Sweetser is the Head Librarian and University Archivist at the Center for Archival Collections (CAC) at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) and teaches in BGSU’s public history certificate program as well. Before joining BGSU in November 2016, she served over 12 years as the University Archivist at Marquette University. Sweetser serves as an elected Council member for the Midwest Archives Conference, as a co-chair of the Society of American Archivists’ Membership Committee, and has held a number of leadership positions in SAA sections and round tables, and is a member of the 2012 Archives Leadership Institute cohort. She is interested in digital workflows in archives, collaborations between archivists and related library professionals, and in the status of women within the profession. Sweetser holds an A.B. in Anthropology from Dartmouth College and an MSI from the University of Michigan.
