Karen Walton Morse

Karen Walton Morse is Director of Distinctive Collections at the University of Rhode Island and de facto University Archivist. In that position, Karen provides strategic leadership and management of the unit, participating in and overseeing all activities, and contributes to the strategic leadership of URI Libraries. She also both grows and builds research collections that support creative scholarship, working with diverse faculty to plan, teach, and support research involving use of unique primary sources. Karen has been a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists since 2005. She has a MSI with a specialization in Archives and Records Management from the University of Michigan and BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Chicago.
