Case Western Reserve University

Case Western has submitted an eclectic collection of materials covering a wide scope of student concerns and communities. Included are materials from a diverse group of student political associations (Students for a Democratic Society, University Maoist Group Records), several Vietnam era/protest collections (Mobilization Group to End the Vietnam War, Strike Committee records), civil rights collections, (Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee records, Afro-American Society records), organized labor (United Farm Workers Student Support Committee), environmental concerns, social justice, women’s liberation, and gay liberation groups. Many of the student groups are a reflection or response to activities and events in the Greater Cleveland area in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, such as the Ahmed Evans Protest Records, and the Committee of Americans records.
